CIG Pannonia Life Insurance Plc. (registered office: H-1097 Budapest, Könyves Kálmán boulvard 11.B, company registration nr.: 01 10 045857, hereinafter referred to as Company or Insurer) in compliance with its relevant legal obligations, hereby informs the Esteemed Shareholders and other members of the public that the Central Bank of Hungary (headquarters: 1013 Budapest, Krisztina krt. 55, location: 1122 Budapest, Krisztina krt. 6.; hereinafter: MNB) concluded its ex officio thematic investigation against the Company and issued its decision no. H-JÉ-II-B-155/2025 – dated May 12, 2025 and received by the Company on May 13, 2025 -. Furthermore, the MNB concluded its ex officio thematic investigation against the Company's 100%-owned subsidiary, CIG Pannonia First Hungarian General Insurance Plc. (hereinafter: EMABIT) and issued its decision no. H-JÉ-II-B-157/2025. - dated May 12, 2025 and received by the Emabit on May 13, 2025:
The MNB closed the target investigation launched on January 3, 2024 by imposing supervisory fine of 7,000,000 HUF, i. e. seven million forints and a consumer protection fine of 1,000,000 HUF, i. e. one million forints against the Company.
In connection with the above, the Company wishes to state that the Company and the EMABIT have immediately started fulfilling the obligations of the MNB and remedying the deficiencies.
